SOLD!!  CONGRATULATIONS JULIE.  Liberty
was born at Lockehaven Farm on 7-15-08.
She is a very leggy filly out our Mare Penny,
by our stud, Ice.  She is very well put
together with a great work ethic.  At 9
months she has already been hitched to
our forecart and loves it.  She lets you do
anything with her head, ears, eyes, nose,
mouth, feet, etc.  She stands to be
harnessed.  She know what "back into the
shafts means".   She walks, trots, whoas,
stands, backs, walks over tarps, pipes,
across bridges, in or thru brooks, over
logs, under low branches in the woods,
lets a chain saw run beside her, etc.
She loads in  and out of the trailer and
rides quietly.  She will step in/out of
a step up, or drive up a ramp and/or
back up a ramp load.  There hasn't
been anything we've asked her that
she won't do.  She should be well
over 17 hh.

Asking price $2500.

Liberty is a full sister to Dela below.

Dela has been sold.  Congratulations
Erika!  We were very lucky and happy
as Dela went to a wonderful home
where the match is as perfect as it
can get.

"Dela" was born at our farm on July
16, 2007.  Sired by our own stud,
 "Ice";  Dela is gorgeous,
and has been a pleasure to train.

Training to date has included, but
not been limited to:

Walking and trotting on lead or
lunge line,Walking on/over puddles,
 plastic tarps/bags, plywood, boards,
logs, rocks, piles of lumber,dirt
piles, and stairs, etc.,Ground driving,
walk, trot, gee, haw, whoa, back,
swinging around, etc.

You can touch her ears (inside
and out), eyes, nose (inside nostrils
 included), check her teeth, touch
anywhere on her body while she
stands without being held, including
picking up her feet.

Her conformation, gaits, feet, and
temperment are as good or better
than Ice and Penny.  We expect her
to be as trainable and willing as well.
If room and board weren't an issue,
we'd keep herforever.

"Ice", Liberty and Dela's sire, is
around 18 hh, and about 17-1800 lbs.
He is stunning in appearance and
movement.  He is confident with a
trainable personality.  He will walk, trot,
canter, whoa and stand on a lead
(without a shank). Ice has been ridden
in a halter, bridle, bareback and under
saddle.  He puts his head down to be
haltered or combed.  Like Penny, you
can do anything with his ears, eyes,
nose, mouth, and touch him anywhere
you want.  He is good with the vet and
farrier, and has excellent feet.

"Penny", Liberty and Dela's dam, is half
of our farm team.  Penny is about 17 hh
and around 1700#, (more if she can
get her way!) .  She's an easy keeper,
trustworthy, and steady as they come.
There isn't a mean bone in her body.
Penny is 13 years old.  We've had her
since she was a yearling.  At 1-1/2
she was on our forecart doing a foliage
drive!  Penny has been on a forecart,
wagon, cart, ground driven mower,
rake, manure spreader, stone boat,
and has skidded logs.  She works
single, double, and on either side.
She trail rides, has shown under
saddle, and is willing to let a novice
get on to see what riding a horse is
like.  Penny is great with the vet
and farrier and has excellent feet.
